That is scary! We have predators here, too. Coyotes, hawks, bobcats - I swear, I worry constantly! I've fenced in my backyard completely, and never allow the babies outside without me or my son - and I'm constantly watching.
But, ya know what - they're worth it all! I wouldn't give up one of my babies for or to anything!!
