Maybe you should ask this breeder what the problem is. What is her/his reasoning for not letting you get an adult. Maybe this breeder did not feel that her adult would fit into your lifestyle. A reputable breeder will not "push" a puppy or any dog on anyone. And a reputable breeder will answer ALL of your questions and concerns. If you have an uneasy feeling about this breeder, then move on and look elsewhere. Best of luck!
