I've never sold an adult of mine but I have sold older pups. When I speak to someone about what they're looking for, I try to steer them toward the pup, be it younger or older, that I think would be the best fit for them. After all, I know my dogs much better than anyone ever could based on a first impression. Whether it's an older or younger dog, my main concern is to place them in the best home for that particular dog. I don't think it's in the dog's best interest to think about anything else. Sometimes, I may not have what a particular person is looking for and I'm quick to tell them so. There's nothing worse, to me, than placing a dog in any home where it's not the best situation for the pup or the new parents. If someone is trying to steer you towards a dog for any other reason, maybe you should look elsewhere.
