I have a soft sided crate that I leave the front flap velcroed up so he can go in and out to sleep, his food, and toys in there with him. I dont have a pee pad in there with him because 1) he refuses to use them and 2) I dont want him pottying in there, I do have his pee pads set up in my bathroom where I carry him and set him down on them but he likes to go outside.
Same here. None of mine would tolerate being crated. I know I was the problem. I didn't stick with it. But with Bella, who goes with me to work every day, I bought her a Pack and Play from Walmart. I have her in it with me here at work. She stays in it most of the day except for potty breaks and a couple of exercise breaks during the day. She did try to climb the mesh one time, but I told her "NO" and she didn't try again. I like the playpen idea, even for home it would be nice.
