Patrick got a Staph infection in 2007 and it turned out to be the MRSA strain. It was horrible ... we were traveling back to Colorado and he was hospitalized in Topeka. I had to wear the yellow "bigbird" suit w/mask & gloves to go in to see him. When he began to improve, the only way they would consider discharging him was if they could teach me to "pack" and dress his wound where they had to do surgery! Geezzz ... I have never been so frightened ... I am not a nurse nor a "caregiver"! He got the infection from an injection he had to have after being bitten by our X son-in-law's American Bulldog! Patrick was UTD on Tetinus but they said he needed this shot ... they called it a "Rabies shot" ... I have no idea what it was but they certainly need to sterilize their instruments better! And, BTW, he didn't even get an apology for the dog biting him!!

I'm thankful that little Gizzy didn't have to go through that. I have heard that a Staph infection is very dangerous ... can't imagine how bad it can be for a little one like Gizmo! I am so happy that he is better! Please give him hugs & kisses for Toto and me!

Congratulations on your son's wedding! Hope their day is perfect and that they will be happy!

Hope you will take time to take care of you, my friend! If there is anything at all that I can do ... just let me know. You all will certanly be in my prayers. God bless you and your family.
I am so sorry you had to go through all that! How scary!! Thankfully this was just an ordinary staph infection (that we caught early) and not MSRA. He's never going to go back to that groomer, but he's almost back to normal now.
