Just over a month ago we lost our beloved cocker spaniels in a traffic accident and even though our hearts are still healing, I want to feel the love of a furry companion again. our cockers, Breeze and Jaxon were family members and so good with my daughter.
The reason I'm considering a yorkie is because, I'd like a dog that I could take with us on trips and our daily errands. A dog that is loyal and will be an "alert dog" instead of a "watch dog". I know some people feel with young children yorkies aren't the most ideal, but since my daughter has had experience with a good portion of dogs since she was two I don't think she should have an issue.
We are in GA and looking for a reputable breeder. I'd like to get an older puppy, rescue or retiring breeder/show dog. I'm also willing to travel by car to pick up our new addition if needed.
Here's a pic of our cockers! | My goodness what pretty cockers they were, every bit as beautiful as Oprah's Sophie......I'm so sorry for your loss, but if anything can cheer you up, it's a yorkie. They are some real characters. Bless you for wanting a rescue or retired dog,. You are going to make a lot of friends and win a lot of hearts on this site. Welcome.
