Love Cricket has possible MVD

This is my first post on Yorkie Talk and I can't believe it's because my baby has been diagnosed with possible MVD. This all started when I took her in to my regular vet to be spayed at 6 months. She did the normal blood work before spaying and found Cricket had elevated liver enzymes so she did another blood test after feeding her and had that test sent to a lab which came back with still elevated liver enzymes. My vet then sent us on to South Texas Vet Specialists in San Antonio to be further evaluated. After seeing an Internist and having an ultrasound done, it was determined that Cricket probably did not have PSS but a liver biopsy was necessary. Since we wanted her spayed, they decided to go ahead and spay her and do some exploratory surgery and liver biopsy at the same time. We have just found out that the liver biopsy did show some abnormality and the Dr. said she probably had mild MVD. He said to just keep doing what we are doing and we will have another blood test run in about 2 months. I must tell you that Cricket is 7 months old and weighs 2-1/2 lbs. She has no clinical signs of anything being wrong; she eats good, plays good, urine and poop are great. Right now she is recovering from the major surgery (her whole tummy was cut open and stapled shut), but staples are to be removed in a couple of days and she is already getting back to acting like herself (wanting to play all the time). My regular vet wants me to start feeding her Hills L/D canned food but as of yet, she won't eat it. I would love to hear from others who have had this same problem and what kind of diet you feed your yorkie.
