I do agree that in generally seems like i dichotomy. But I also know that my family did what they did to survive. We also grew our own veggies. Beets, corn, spinach, squash, you name it I've planted, weeded and eaten it. We had piglets in the house if something happened to the sow, or the piglet was injured or unwell. They are very smart and can be litter trained. It was just our life. From the outside looking in, it looks a little crazy, but my parents gave us an awesome life in which we learned to provide for and take care of ourselves and others. I am proud of my life, just as i am proud of those of you that chose not to eat meat. Good for you. I chose to. Good for me. People deserve to be loved and respected no matter their choices.

OP--I've never heard of rabbit fever? any idea what exactly it entails? Hope your little furbaby is ok and very sorry we've taken over the world (and your thread)
