Judy, sounds like your plate has been full lately. First, I hope you get a good report on your dh. Second, congratulations on your son's wedding, I'm sure it will be beautiful. Third, I hate to hear that about Gizmo, we have had issues with staph before and the vet prescribed Sulf Oxy Dex shampoo which is a (antimicrobial, antiseborrheic, cleansing, moisturizing formulation). I don't quite understand the moisturizing part because it's very drying. I lather her up making sure I get down to her skin, wrap her in a warm towel and wait 10 min, then rinse and use John Paul Oatmeal conditioner so I can get a comb through her hair otherwise it would be impossible.
