I just started a thread today about how much to feed. Hot Rod is 14 mos and he had his annual yesterday. I've been feeding both of them 1/2 cup- 1/4 cup each meal and they've never really finished it. The vet suggested trying 1/3 cup total for the day for each. Hot Rod is 3.7 lbs and Maggie (last vet check) was 3 lbs. He's pretty much a picky eater. He is by no means underweight. Vet said he look good for his size. She said that dogs will regulate themselves when they get full. Is free feeding an option? I don't because they don't eat it anyway. |
