It all depends on if you are wanting to let his hair grow or not. Some people cut the hair because it is easier maintenance for them. Those of us that show do not cut any hair except in trimming ears, feet, and the sanitary cut.
Do you want the hair on his head and face to grow but keep the body shorter then let it grow. I say it is all up to you and what you want.
