I was wondering this same thing. I know Zaccheus has a cotton coat, but have not had any problems with matting yet. But it's getting longer, and I suspect we will be matting more in a couple of months. He's 6+ months. He has a dull black coat. Last night I sat and combed Roxy and Cricket out. I hadn't combed them in a few days. They were pretty tangled, but not matted. Then I combed Zacchie. He screamed all the way through it. He's such a baby!
