I still am not convinced that the difference in coats is all in the eye of the beholder.
It is hard to get a good to expert handle on identifying the differences.
I have pups that have a thick cottony coat that will mat. After they shed this puppy coat they have a thin wavy coat.
I have bought a male that has a long stringy coat but it is thin but it gets tangled but easily with applying a detangler will comb out. The hair falls wonderfully on his torso and does not bunch up . I talked to a groomer and the hair is scarce to fine on his legs and will probably grow and flow but it will not get that full look I fear.
Getting a good detangler is a key to keeping coats from matting.
If you get a handle on distinguishing these coats keep me informed.
Even if you see the parents etc. I don't think you can ever really predict or get exactly what you wanted to see with a breeding.
You try to get it down to a science but I still believe you can't totally manipulate or predict mother nature, or Gods divine creation. |
