 Can a cotton coat not mat?
I have a silky/yorkie puppy that seems to have a cottony coat. She is 4 1/2 months old and when you look closely about half of the hair almost seems to zig-zag back and forth on the ends. The other hair is mostly straight. I'm guessing that is what makes it look more fuzzy versus silky. However, I've read often that a cotton coat mats easily and I've had yet to encounter one on Isla (knock on wood). She's worn sweaters, wrestled with other dogs, rolled in the grass, etc. Since she hasn't matted yet I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on that-or what type of coat maybe she has? |
