Jim, it's just tragic to hear of the loss of your beloved Savannah. The way you describe Savannah reminds me so much of my Heidi. I feel totally privileged to have such a little angel and the love I give her always seems inadequate compared to the love she has for me. Your post gives me quite a start as I've just started (a week ago) giving another of my girl's (Bijou) Deramaxx. Bijou was born with twisted femurs and she's been having a lot of joint pain the last 6 months. The poor girl has wrecked her coat due to chewing at her joint areas and has been in obvious discomfort so we've begun Deramaxx. She is 9 pounds and has been getting 1/8 of a 100 mg. tablet daily for a dose of 12 mg. So far, she's shown no adverse reactions to it but I will be talking to my vet about this later this week. I did find this info about side effects of Deramaxx and why some dogs have such a bad reaction to it
