you will have to put up with the crying, barking and whining the first several days...but they eventually will get use to being in there...if you give in to them everytime they cry, whine or bark in the crate you are the one at fault...dogs associated things with things...if he sees that once he is inside the crate and he whines, cry, bark or even scream you come running to let him out then he will continue to do it...trust me after having 6 dogs i been through all of it...
which means there will be a week of sleepness nights but it will reward itself in the long run...ignore him when he screaming, barking, whining and crying while in his crate...once he quiet down let him out...repeat...he will then begin to see that he only gets on on good behavior...good luck!
