well I have the same problem with our almost 5 month old yorkie. but the last few nights I've figured out some things. In the day time he will go about every 2 hours if he is roaming around the house. If he's in his room with the pee pad he can hold it longer. After 6 pm I think he needs to go out more often, so I've started taking him out every hour and the last 2 days have been sucessful and watching him more closer is helping. Tonight I was so excited because every night around 8-8:30 he's going to poop and I've been missing it every time. I was reading last night and he walked on the other side of my husband and did it on the floor. ugh.... I took my eyes of him for 1 min. but tonight I watched his every move and asked him did he have to go outside. well he hesitated a little and then walked slowly to the door. we went out and he pooped. I think you just have to watch every move at night unless you put them in their room with the pee pad. hope this helps some.
