I also have 2 golden retrievers-both 100 pounds. My vet wanted them to lose some wt and so we cut back on their food. He asked how much we fed them and I said whatever the bag said (I can't remember now at the time-this was a year ago) he said to cut back on that amount because it usually is too much. I think he said cut by 10%--don't quote me on that though. Like I said it was a year ago. I am happy to report at their last visit they had lost 10 pounds each--but I digress.
My yorkies eat Royal Canin Mini Adult. I know it is not the best but at this point it is what they will eat. <sigh> They tend to be a little finicky. I want to educate myself in making their food myself.
Good luck in finding what works best for your pups. Whatever food you choose, if you decide to change be sure to switch them over to it slowly.
