We all have to start somewhere, boy we hear that one alot! You start by studying, by finding a mentor, and having the dogs that you want to breed evaluated for comformation, health, and temperment. Most folks don't want to bother with that step so they breed and than ask. My best advise to you is to run and go back to step one. Other than that I would highly recommend Canine Reproduction and Whelping by Myra Savant Harris.
