Crate them, pen them, put them into seperate rooms, what ever you have to do to insure their well being. Just because they are well behaved while you, their pack leader, is there, does not mean they will not fight when you are gone. I have yorkies, and I don't know how many times I have had people say they were only gone a little while, but by the time they returned home, one was killed by the other. I have 10 dogs, and when I leave they are seperated into different areas or pens, or even some are in crates. The only pairs that are together, are a fixed male and a fixed female. I have seen one turn on another too many times to take any chances, and intact females are the worse ones for attacking others.

Great post and so very true! Even Yorkies will kill other Yorkies if unsupervised or separated.
