I am concerned with the recent price increase with United Airlines. The price has gone from $100 in June to $175 in October for ONE WAY to take your pet under the seat!!
I have already purchased my ticket or I would go to a different airline because I have seen that American & Delta go where I need to go and the pet fares there are alot cheaper as of right now anyhow. They will probably be raising soon too.
The cost to fly Lily is more expensive than the cost to fly myself!! My ticket was $220 round trip and hers is $350!! That is a little extreme I think!!
I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions because I fly quite often and I didn't realize it was so expensive to take her with me. I have no choice at this time but to fly and not drive and it is from AZ to PA so that is too far and too long not to take her with me.
I would be afraid not to pay for her and take a chance on losing my ticket or worse!! Besides the fact that I just wouldn't do that. I agree that you should pay for them to travel but I think it is just to the extreme!! My grandson goes cheaper at 8 years old and a 2 year old child can go FREE!!
I know there are alot of animal lovers that travel with their pets so there must be some solution to this growing problem. THANKS for any input before I purchase my next airline ticket. I already am commited to this one for November - January.
