fresh or canned should be fine, but you need to just mix it with the dry food, dont give it alone. If your changing dog food, just remember to do it over a 3 day grace period---
Day 1- add about 1-3 pieces of the new kibble to the old kibble
Day 2- put a little bit mroe of the new kibble in with the old
Day 3- Use more of the new kibble and some pieces of old kibble
just ween it off, my Fiona has an iron stomach, and some dogs dont adjust as well!
