Confused I need to make a decision

I have the opportunity to buy a female furbaby that is about 16 weeks old. The dam is 6lb, and the sire is 5lb, I am told. I have not seen them. I am concerned because the litter is CKC registered, but am told that the parents are AKC champion blood lines. The reason they gave for registering the litter CKC and not AKC was that the breeder did not want the buyers to have access to that blood line. I am told that if the parents are AKC traceable, then you can register the pup AKC anyways?? Anyways the pup comes with a one year guarantee against any congenital defects, and I have 48 hours to take the pup to my vet to check for any other problems. Oh, and by the way the ears are not up, which means taping and hoping for the best, I guess. The price of the pup is $450.00 but I have some reservations. I just want to know are they telling me the truth about the eligability of the registration with AKC? And also, the breeder will not give a pedigree chart, but has the CKC papers. Thanks for any imput.
