Heres what I do with prudence,every morning its the same routine get soft cotton pads,(i buy them by the box) fill a small bowl with water,soak it in bowl dont wring it out too much hold the head with left hand and with the right hand softly wash the crust out.Then with a small comb comb the gunk out if the fur is wet enough it will come straight out.I wouldn't muck around with products just use water.It works for me.
