I make my own jerkey and it's decent but not anywhere near anything I'd sell. I use a cheap dehydrator from WalMart and the spices that they usually have there. It's good enough for me but I'd definitely love to find some different spices.
Contrary to popular belief, the dehydrators aren't very hard to clean and they're dishwasher safe.
