I think we all want that kind of guarantee.
If it is going to cause hepatopathy, it will usually occur in the first three weeks. There is no way to predict what dogs this will happen to. About 9 adverse reactions for every 10,000 dogs taking the drug have been reported. If liver or kidney function are in question, NSAIDS should not be used.
Personally I would prefer to bile acid test before giving NSAIDS to a Yorkie but that's just me.
I think it should be okay if her liver and kidneys are fine but nobody can say that for sure... If it makes you feel any better, Ellie was on Metacam (NSAID) before I knew she had a liver issue and did fine.
