The Senior Dogs Project
Yes, that's exactly what I've read (and more) on Rimadyl. That's why flags went up. It seems like the dogs who've had problems on it were taking it over a period of time.....I don't want her to be in pain (especially since she's going to have several things done), but I also would rather her take something that's safer (if that's even an option!) I also know they heal pretty quickly this young, so she may be just fine after a day or 2 (I think they give me enough for 3 days)...I just don't want her to suffer for those first day(s).

I'm going to read a little more, but what I'm really looking for is a little reassurance that this med is problematic only after long-term use, and that no one has heard of there being any problems after having used it for just a day or 2. I'm just a worried mom!
