I had a Lhasa Poo who did that as a puppy. The vet told me to get For-Bid at the pet store or sprinkle Adolph's Meat Tenderizer on it. I used the Adolph's as I already had some at home and she didn't like that at all. She coughed, etc but didn't do it anymore.
