8 weeks might have been a little young to get her. My breeder wouldn't consider it until 13 weeks. Lilly, though still young, has had a chance to mature and settle in to the home. Maya had a visit from an older daschund yesterday, and she put up with rambunctious Maya 3.2 seconds.
One thing they both live there, and eventually they will find a way to work it out.
