First a BIG HELLO, I am new here and appreciate any advise I can get... Here is my story.
Gizmo is almost 5 months old and we bought him from a great breeder... We were advised by the breeder for Gizmo not to touch the ground until all shots were given, so we got a baby playpen and put bed on one end and pee-pad on the other end and this worked great
, he used the pee-pad consistently, but hubby was ready to get the playpen out of the kitchen so we started crate training.... He does great in the crate no whining thank goodness don't think I could handle that too.... We set him up on a schedule based on the way he went on the pee-pad. I started on a Sat. non-work day at 7:00 am we take him out and for about a week he seemed to be getting the hang of going outside, seemed to love the praise and treats and then one day I took him outside and he didn't do anything and then brought him in and put him in the crate and turned my back and he pooped in the crate
, I didn't catch him in the act so I just took him outside and then cleaned up the mess.
Now this is a normal act for him, He no longer poops outside only in his crate, he does still pee outside, the thing is he only poops when we are not looking so I think he knows it is wrong. What do I do????? This has been going on now for over 2 weeks and can't seem to figure out how to correct the problem.....
