Like I said, I am a young mom, I don't have alot of money, things are on the rocks right now and I also suffer from anxiety. Having a dog helps me out alot, it makes me feel so much better to know you have that little furbaby that loves you and is always there to give you kisses. After my shihtzu passed I was so devastated for weeks, I'm still not over it, I miss him so much. He died suddenly at 10 wks old, it was very tramatizing. I was really looking to find a healthy dog, thats why I opt to get Stormy, she was a little older. I pray so much now that this is not luxating patella because I don't know what I will do. I shared my story with brenda and hoped that she understood my concerns about getting a healthy dog. I hope I was not taken advantage of. I am from Canada so I have never heard of puppy lemon laws. what are they?
Unfortunately a lot of small dogs have some grade of LP ~ Some dogs can go their whole lives in a Grade 1 or 2 ~ others progress faster into Grade 3 and 4. So you will really need to get a somewhat accurate diagnose of LP and what Grade. IMO - I feel that only a Board Cert. Ortho Specialist should do the surgery if it is needed.

Cosequin is really ideal for this situation. Do a google search and you'll find lots of sites that carry it, or you can get it from your Vet.

Puppy Lemon Laws: Each state has laws about this and what the breeder and buyers rights are and what they are entitled, etc....So you will have to look into that ~ I am sure you can find some answers online, just search....
