Samson, our almost 8-month-old yorkie, got his berries picked (neutered) this morning and he had no idea it was even coming. Poor guy!!!

He'd been doing fine in the housebreaking department for about three weeks, and then all of a sudden, he started peeing in the house 1-2 times a night. Even if we took him outside and he went 3-4 times, he'd still come in and pee 20 minutes, 30 minutes later. We took him to the vet this past Monday to make sure nothing was wrong bladder-wise. They checked him for kidney failure, but were 99% sure he was just marking. Sure enough, they checked his urine and it had sperm in it!!!!!!! Our little baby has hormones racing through him like crazy. So, we decided it was time.

He went in this morning, had the surgery and was out by 10:15am. They said everything went well, and they also took out two of his baby teeth that hadn't come out on their own. When I spoke to the vet this morning, she said he was waking up and had already walked around his cage a bit. I was upset, though, because they wouldn't keep any of his bedding, toys or anything familiar to him when we dropped him off this morning. We were hoping they'd keep him in his own crate with his own bedding, but no such luck.

I feel so sad because I miss him already and want to take care of him. He stays at the vet overnight and we'll get him back tomorrow (Friday) afternoon/evening. I know he woke up all disoriented and in pain and I just want to cuddle with him and have him home.
