Excuse me, but I take offense to that too. I suffer from mental illness and I am CERTAINLY not crazy.
People do NOT understand what a mental illness does to a person and I am SICK AND TIRED of hearing people call that woman evil and everything else. SHE is not evil, her disease is.
Bobo probably had a great life up until then. The woman stopped her meds and for what reason, we don't know. It could have been that she couldn't afford them. She probably was having delusions, severe paranoia, was having hallucinations, or was in pyschosis.
No one should be judged unless you stand in their shoes and I have been in those shoes and this is why I'm talking like this. Unfortunately, the dog did have to suffer and it is a shame. I wish Bobo wouldn't have had such a traumatic experience and I really feel bad for him, but this was an uncontrolled situation. Her brain told her to do something awful and she did it. It's uncontrollable and it's a shame it had to happen. Say what you want to me. I don't really care.
So yorkiepuppie... since I suffer from a mental illness, should I be hog tied and burned to death?
How about everyone else that says that a mentally ill person should never be given a pet... what about Chip and Smokey...? Should I not have the privilege of owning them, because I have an illness?
If this woman was not mentally ill, I would be singing a different tune, but this woman was SICK.
