When I first bought Grace I kept her crated. She would whimper when she would wake up and I would immediately take her to her wee wee pad (it was in front of her crate) and she would go. I did it every time she woke up. Then when she was a bit older I moved the wee wee pad to our bathroom and Grace would get out the crate and go straight to the bathroom. I was consistant with it and she picked up very quickly. The harder transition was getting her to go outside because she was used to going in the bathroom. But she caught on quickly and enjoys her walks outside. I think dogs really love walks with their master. |
