Because I have to walk 2 dogs at the same time it's so much harder when another dog approaches you. In the past i've picked one up in each arm and ran. I must look like a nutcase to onlookers, but i don't care i'd do whatever it takes to protect my dogs.
I asked my vet about the dog repellant spray and she said it can actually agravate some dogs and make them more agressive. Im going to stick to public footpaths where i know there wont be any loose dogs. Its such a shame because we have some beautiful countryside in the uk. I do love all dogs but i really don't know why people choose to have dangerous breeds as pets when there are so many lovley breeds of dog to choose from. |
