the vet put him on a kind of iams that has nothing in it- no preservatives or dyes or anything. he doesn't care for it, but he's been on it for a couple of months now. last night i bathed him in his medicated shampoo and he seems a little better this morning but i'm sure it's just a temporary fix. he hasn't lost any hair so far. he just has those itchy bumps all over his back. his coat is actually beautiful and most of the time he's playful and happy! it's just he'll stop to scratch a lot and sometimes he seems really miserable and whines. last night was one of those nights! i am going to monitor him closely today and see if the shampoo actually did any long-term good. if he's not better by tom we'll be off to find a new vet! it seems that it's more stressful for me to find him a vet than it is to find ME a DOCTOR! haha!
