Switching to a kidney diet when the numbers are only slightly elevated and liver disease hasn't been ruled out might not be a good thing to do. What has the vet said about further testing to make sure your Yorkie needs a kidney diet? Or does the vet just want to use it and skip all testing? If the BUN was up, it could be something as simple as high protein food or dehydration (which I doubt because of the seizures but retesting might be a good idea). If he really does have kidney problems, supplements might help. Could you post the lab results?
Can you feed your dogs separately so that he doesn't have to eat R/D?
Isn't that very calorie restricted?
It is best to give prescription diets only when they are really needed because they might have too little of certain things that are important to healthy pets.
