I'm sure I'll be shunned for saying this, but if Maddie or Libby were seriously injured and my only choice was to turn them over to a rescue, I don't know that I could. I believe a good part of recovery from surgery is being with their loving family and the security of familiar surroundings. Instead they would be amongst strangers and grieving for their family and loved ones and that, to me, is cruel.
This person is grieving the loss of her yorkie and there is no reason to badger her and try to make her feel worse than she already does.
