Your quote above is why people are responding this way. The organization would have picked up the tab for his surgery. I think with what you wrote above you shouldn't be surprised at people's reactions. Only now when people post their opinions that aren't sympathetic did you add that he would "live in pain". I'm sure the vet wouldn' t have suggested the organization if Spanky wouldn't live a good life. RIP SPANKY!
