Peaches accepted her puppies around 4 am this morning!

We had put her in there with them at 3 am, and made her lay down so she could nurse them. We had to do the same thing last night also. We just laid our hand on her and stroked her with the other while they nursed.

So anyway, at 4 am, I had gotten up to check on the babies and Peaches. (Peaches was currently in the our bed with Mike and me becuz last night she didn't want to be near them.) But when Peaches saw me go in there to the whelping room, she came running in and looked at the puppies, looked at me, and then jumped (carefully) in!

She sniffed the babies and then sat down on the opposite side of the box from where the puppies were - But then she got up and went over to the one that was crying and nibbled at her back foot and leg then she nibbled on her neck. I thought, oh no! She is fixing to attack and kill it and I have to watch her try to do this.

But then she picked it up (very softly) by the back of its neck and took it back with her and then she began cleaning it...... Then the other two babies crawled over very loudly, and she began cleaning those two babies as well. She then laid down and put her arm and head over them and snuggled up with them.

I took a picture of this and will put in my album today. It's too sweet not too share plus a huge thing that we thought we'd be dealing with for several weeks. I hope yall area as happy as me! Yay!!!

I hope to talk with many of you soon.
But for now.... I'm going back to bed!
