Later, much later down the line, when I do get another Yorkster, do you suggest it be a pup or a little older (I plan on getting another in a year or 2). So I will still have Bud, but I don't know if older dogs get along with older dogs better or if they get along with pups better.

See what you and your husband decide about neutering him down the line. If you decide to keep him intact, I wouldn't get another one. He may just be happy to be the only spoiled boy anyway.
