We are very concerned and can't figure out if he is in pain or if this is emotional stress. He seems to be walking fine, not limping but is barely eating. He is peeing and pooping which is good. Could this be his anal glands? Any other ideas?

Most likely the "pain" little Mason is suffering is a change in his schedule. Dogs are creatures of habit and have a very accurate internal "clock" that tells them when certain things are supposed to happen. If you are normally home during the evening and nighttime hours and you were suddenly away - he was suffering from anxiety because his routine was changed. I am not saying that there aren't other physical problems as well -- when in doubt a visit to your doggie's health care professional is always in order.
