Default Are left over bones from human food ok?

My bf keeps giving Sasha bones (from ribs, steaks, etc.) on the sly. He knows I don't want her having having them but he just feels like dogs should enjoy a good bone every once in a while (he's never had a dog before Sasha). He always asks me why she can't have it and I say "they're just not good for them." And then he asks me why, but I never have a good answer. Am I just being paranoid? Is it ok for yorkies to chew on our leftover bones or am I correct in thinking it's not good for them? If it's the latter please explain to me why so I can shut him up...lol.

Oh we do give her bully sticks and flossies, which she loves, so she's not being deprived of something tasty to chew on.
