Is it a ghost? OK y'all, my turn to ask if you think my house is haunted.
We moved in to our new (to us) house about three weeks ago and almost every night since then Adie or Skeeter (Sometimes both) wake me up around 3AM. They are very quietly growling and staring out of the bedroom door toward the kitchen. If someone were in the kitchen they wouldn't be able to hear them because they are growling so quietly. It is like they are growling to themselves most of the time. I've listened for any kind of noise that may be bugging them but nothing so far. They keep it up for a really long time. Skeeter did it till 6AM one morning. Three hours! Of course if they bark they get the rest of the brood stirred up too then all of them are growling. Sigh. I'm imagining that it is a train or something off in the distance that I can't hear. Any thoughts? I know these guys have better hearing that Cassie and Ivan do and it is a new environment for them but geez, after the stuff I have been going through lately I need some sleep! I'm open to suggestions. They quiet down when I tell them to but often start up again after I fall back to sleep. I tried crating Skeeter but he went wild - something he never does in his crate. |
