Iverhart Max is actually less expensive than Heartgard. I switched from Heartgard to it for a few months... but I think my Rocky is having a reaction to it... almost like he is in pain (??). I think the Iverhart is what he is reacting to... it happened two months in a row for a day ... I am switching back to Heartgard this month and see what happens.
My vet suggested I give him pepto with the Iverhart Max... I said "no thanks".
He was on Heartgard for over 6 years and never had a reaction.
Hopefully the Iverhart was what was causing my Rocky's problem (
). She said one other person said her dog had a reaction also... it was also a small dog.
My other dogs seemed fine with the Iverhart Max but I am switching them all back to Heartgard.
