I went to my vet wanting to try that (Interceptor) and he said that there were studies and they were showing that it didn't work and that is when he advised Iverhart Max. Leo (my shih tzu) does well on it with no problems. The Iverhart is cheaper than the others (at least from the website I buy it).

I figured I would need to have them on different worming medicines, I really do need worming because my roommate has 2 cats and she doesn't keep hers on any meds and I rather not get my puppies sick.
