When I got Cookie (she is only 5 pounds) I got her microchiped and I am so glad that I did because one day I had let her in and out of the house and this one time the phone rang and I saw that it was my vet and when I answered the phone she stated that she had my dog.
My response was, what dog?? I knew that Cookie was in the backyard (or so I thought)...No she had found a way out and a nice lady took her to the vets and when they scanned her they found her chip and called me to let me know that they had her.
I was so relieved and scared....Thank God for the chip!
