There has been no injury that we are aware of. I never really noticed cloudiness early on. She was sick when we got her with an upper respiratory infection that lasted several weeks but after several rounds of antibiotics she recovered. Our vet has seen her three times and has not mentioned anything about the eyes but I never asked as I did not seem to notice it as much. We are related to the breeder and know that the mother and father are healthy dogs. She would have never intentionally sold us a dog with eye problems but this is the very first litter she has sold. I really appreciate everyone's comments. I can tell that this website will be very useful to me as a new yorkie Mom. Sometimes her eyes look almost blue - I was hoping you guys might say that yorkie pups are kind of like babies - born with light eyes that may change color over time which might account for the cloudy look. I will take her to our vet this week and let you know what happens. |
