Tonight I indulged in my favorite adult drink....dirty martini (gin)--LOVE them!!! Yummmm!
Anyway, somehow I ended up buying large green olives that still had pits

, unbeknownst to me until tonight. BUT...who am I to let a good olive go to waste! So, I'm scraping olive "meat" off the pit with my teeth, and Bella is in my lap sniffing. She licks my fingers, so I let her lick the pit while I'm firmly holding onto it...don't want that big, hard thing going down her tiny little throat!! She licks it, then starts using her teeth to scrape what she can off it. I went to get another olive, and this time just bit off the ends so she'd have a starting point, and she totally worked at scraping the rest of the olive (maybe 1/2 of it was left) until she had eaten all the olive meat off that pit!!!
I was thinking....she's definitely a Momma's girl!! She thinks latte's are the bomb (she's only barely tasted them) and she love green olives...a staple in my lovely martinis!
Does anyone know if olives are bad for dogs? I know they're high in salt, so eating much would probably be bad, but is there anything wrong with a little bit???
AND, is coffee (if it's decaf of course) absolutely terrible for them? Not that I'd ever give her much at all, but would it be bad to let her have a taste every now and then?? (I didn't know if it was in anyway toxic in the way that chocolate is?)
