I would take the next step and get a scintigraphy. This is a nuclear scan that will be able to diagnosis a shunt. If I understand correctly, post numbers greater than 100 point towards a liver shunt. But it does not confirm one. And I doubt the puppy food would make a huge difference, but I am not an expert.

My Paisley had liver shunt surgery 2 1/2 months ago. Her Bile Acids were pre- 19 and post- 227. After I talked to many people and looked at my options we went straight for a scintigraphy. This cost me about $400. And it showed she had a shunt.
